SEIKO Décor CLOCKS
A Legacy of Precision Clockmaking
In 1892, Kintaro Hattori established the Seikosha Factory in Tokyo to produce wall clocks to rival Western imports. The factory’s vertically integrated approach, handling all production processes in-house, delivered superior quality and developed quickly. Within seven years, Seikosha became the largest producer of wall clocks in Japan through an unwavering focus on precision and reliability.
This commitment to functional superiority has defined Seiko ever since. From introducing alarm clocks in 1899 to developing advanced movements, the company maintains its core principles of accuracy and reliability in style.
The Décor Collection: Hand-Assembled Excellence
The Seiko Décor collection represents over 130 years of clockmaking expertise. Each clock is entirely designed and assembled by hand in Japan, with skilled artisans positioning every component to achieve both visual harmony and accurate timekeeping.
Movements are calibrated to achieve accuracy of ±15 seconds per month. High-transparency glass reveals the intricate skeleton mechanism within. Wooden veneers are selected for their grain and colour, then carefully inlaid with contrasting detail. The result is a collection that demonstrates what becomes possible when clocks are crafted individually; every detail reflects the dedication to excellence that has driven Seiko since 1892.
